Yes! I am currently accepting new patients who are located in Colorado and Illinois.
-
Any patient that you’d like to refer can be directed to my website.
The first step in my scheduling process is a free 15-minute consultation to ensure we are a good fit to work together. The easiest way for patients to book this is to use the ‘self-schedule a free 15-minute consultation’ button on the contact page of my website.
Patients are also welcome to call me or send me a message (my phone number and e-mail are also listed on the contact page of my website).
-
I offer free 15-minute phone consultations to all prospective patients. This way, they can ask any questions they may have, and also get a feel for my personality to assess whether they feel I’d be a good fit for their needs.
-
I am currently in-network with most commercial Aetna and Cigna plans in both Colorado and Illinois. I am also in-network with BCBS PPO plans in Illinois, but am not in-network with Anthem/BCBS in Colorado at this time.
Due to Medicaid policies, I am not able to render services to anyone who is a Medicaid recipient. Similarly, I am unable to render services to anyone who is a Medicare recipient at this time. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

For patients who are not using insurance, intake assessments (the first appointment) and therapy sessions are $180.
Payment is due at the time of service, and can be paid via credit card, FSA, or HSA. My fees are similar to other doctoral-level providers in Colorado and Illinois.
-
If I do not accept a patient’s insurance, but they have another commercial insurance plan with out-of-network mental health benefits, I can provide them with a superbill. In doing so, many people (particularly with PPO plans) are able to receive partial reimbursement for my services.
-
All sessions take place via a HIPAA-compliant video platform (online therapy that is secure and private).
What can patients expect when they contact me?
-
All patients complete a free 15-minute consultation to discuss their goals, any questions they have, and how I can help. If both patient and myself feel we are a good match to work together, we will schedule an intake assessment.
If I do not feel I’m able to help with a patient’s needs (e.g., a patient needs substance abuse treatment before I can help improve their sleep), I will refer them to someone who may be more helpful for their initial therapy goals.
-
Intake assessments take 60 minutes, and are designed to help me to better understand the problem the patient is experiencing. During this appointment, I collect information from a bio-psycho-social perspective and will also collect questionnaires (e.g., PHQ-9) prior to the appointment.
-
Therapy sessions are typically scheduled weekly or bi-weekly. Treatment duration will be based on a patient’s treatment goals, and progress toward these goals. I also often recommend home-practice of certain skills a patient is working on in therapy.
